San Diego mayor says July 4 fireworks, even birthday parties, are in doubt after court ruling

By Associated Press, Updated: Wednesday, June 1

SAN DIEGO — The city’s Fourth of July fireworks displays aren’t the only celebrations in doubt after a judge ordered rigorous environmental reviews of large events, Mayor Jerry Sanders says.

An apparently nutty result, but no evidence given that it was a nutty judge instead of a nutty California law passed by the nutty California State Legislature that was the cause of it.  Certainly Mayor Sanders was engaging in hyperbole by suggesting that anything other than fireworks shows were at risk for now.

Hello Ernest,

Don't say that. It goes against CARL's narrative.

Thank you.

Hello Ernest,

Thank you.

But my part in CARL's narrative is as the evil liberal who tries to confuse people with facts.

From my experience with CEQA, the judge's action was very un-nutty.   I suppose Carl thinks that the city of La Jolla should be exempt from State laws.

From the article, it looks like the Mayor is the nutty one.
