Gingerich is very incisive and succinct tonight.  He may actually bring his numbers up.

I, too, support General Pinochet, Herman Cain.

(Seriously, what the f**k?)

The Republican party has always loved Pinochet.
WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and the Domican Republic invasion were Democratic wars. A Democrat, Henry Jackson, was the original NeoCon. Thats just a small black mark in the book.

Your stupid post quota is filled for the month with that one alone. Feel free to shut up anytime.
Your not one too tell me what is stupid, in all honesty...Is it stupid to disagree with you?? Romney has it right on the Muslim issue, after King ravaged what Cain said.

My grandpa is a WW2 vetran, I dont oppose the war, just saying, most wars fought by the US were by under Democratic presidents.

No, extrapolating stuff like this into having an ounce of meaning simply bypasses demagoguery and enters the realm of just plain stupid. "Just saying."

It's referring to what type of pizza you prefer.  Deep dish is puffy, thin crust is flat.

No sharia, gets applause.... oh sweet facepalm. Gingrich goes for the Nazi comparison... there aren't enough facepalms for all the cheap shots on the sharia strawman.

It was stupid when Bob Dole said it. It is asinine when you say it.

Jbrase, yes the Black Hawk County GOP is a vary active organization.  I can only stand being around them once every four years, so I'm saving that up for the caucus in February.

I just heard Johnson and others were gonna be at some cedar valley event, and wanted to see Johnson.

lol, Herman Cain is uncomfortable appointing militant muslims good to know Roll Eyes

You live around here, man?  I live in Cedar Falls, in Briarwood 4th addition, just north of Greenhill.

At least Bachman doesnt believe the government should trample the states right in the name of morality. Ron Paul has it right, 100%. Pawlenty, is the complete opposite, as is Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum.

Bachmann and Herman Cain are the least right-wing on this issue?

Wow. Surprised Romney said constitutional. I guess no Republican, except Huntsman, will agree with me there.

So Cain is the most liberal one (besides Paul kind of) on gay marriage?

Yeah, I'm surprised by this revelation.

She just said she supports an Amendment.

I absolutely hate it when they try to suck up to the military by saying they'll listen to the commanders and what the soldiers want when it comes to DADT. They have no problem with it being repealed.

Bachmann doesn't want to interfere with state laws, but wants the constitutional amendment. Wouldn't the law of NH then be unconstitutional and be overturned once challenged? lol

Wow, Pawlenty has just flopped completely in this debate. For awhile, I thought he might well be considered the most viable alternative to Romney. Not so anymore. He's done, imo.

Why is marridge a government issue in the first place? Why does the government give benefeits to some couples but not others? Why does the government give couples benefeits at all?!

BUT, she wouldnt go after the states that already have it, and probaly wont go after new ones. To be fair, I posted before she made that final comment after Santorum.

Wow. Surprised Romney said constitutional. I guess no Republican, except Huntsman, will agree with me there.

I was a little surprised as well.  I'd add that Santorum gave the most considered answer there.

On the other hand, it is at moments like these that I feel that the GOP is intransigent and too focused on minutia.  4 of 7 gave at least some lip service to a constitutional amendment, and it reminds me that I'm out of step with the party on a few issues.  I also felt this way in the "religion in politics" question.

Ah, such is the party.  You take the minutia with the important stuff.
