42% approval rating for Governor Dayton -
http://kstp.com/article/stories/S2168808.shtml?cat=1
But I think this isn't that bad because Silvio Berlusconi is at 29% approval in Italy.

After all, he vetoed a voter-ID bill that is supported by 80-90% of MN voters.
It would also make me disapprove of him for a while ...

In other words, he's still the most popular Governor in the Midwest.

That has little to do with it. I doubt most are even aware of that.

Dayton was never the most popular figure in Minnesota politics. He is lucky that Republicans there nominated Tom Emmer of all people.

1)It's a SurveyUSA poll.
2)Phil "forgot" to mention that 65% of voters disapprove the (Republican) legislature.

When the entire is up for re-election as one entity, let me know.
And you "forgot" to mention that Dayton receives equal blame with the legislature for the budget so he can't really rail against the evil Republicans.

SurveyUSA also had Pawlenty tied with Obama, so their polls are pretty much crap. And no matter what Dayton's approval is, it doesn't make Walker and Kasich's numbers any better.

1)That's irrelevant.
2)As mentioned elsewhere, you can't just compare polls from different outfits. Even so, Walker's disapprovals were significantly higher than Dayton's.

Your point is irrelevant since the entire legislature isn't up for re-election as a single entity.

I'll say the large number of "unsure" voters would lean towards disapprove as opposed to approve but point taken.
