Absolutely killer ad from 1992 presidential election
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gNRDXjsL-4
1998 Alabama gubernatorial primary (Republican runoff). Another killer ad, something we can expect to see in a very unlikely event of Huntsman becoming Obama opponent.

Man, Kefauver looks like a total dork in that first one. The Democrats in 1956 would've been better off campaigning as

was it during the campaign that Ike said that?

Wendell Willkie in 1940, talking about his support for left wing economic policies. I guess he's trying to reassure voters that he won't roll back popular reforms.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUGfrQVWL1I
Willkie campaign film, "The Truth About Taxes," more on the right wing message here. Likening the New Deal to a fatal experiment. Attacking Keynesianism, civil servants, comparing bureaucracy to the Nazis and anti-tax stuff that would really come into vogue by the 80's.

Movie theaters most likely. Indeed, the movie studio opposition to Upton Sinclair in the 1934 California gubernatorial race led to attack ads disguised as newsreels. "California Election News No. 1" and "California Election News No. 2" The following link includes some scenes from them with commentary.

The DuPont Ad reminded me of Bill Clinton's welfare reform for some reason.
