Thanks, you were right; I think my finger slipped.
I didn't think a candidate would correct me for giving him too many votes, though. lol

If anyone else sees anything wrong, feel free to tell me.  I'll double-check everything after the election's over.

I just wanted to say to anyone that saw the pie-charts earlier, they will be back after the election's over.  They were too hard to keep updated.

CheeseWhiz we have in Atlasia a preferential voting system. That means that the candidate with the lowest number of votes in each round is kicked out and his votes go toward that persons second preference. So while Harry maybe winning in First Past the Post he is losing in Preferential voting.

I'm running as a Libertarian - so that ? should be an L.

Also, the results are 4-2-1.  There are only 7 votes and the first post is the instructional post.

In the process of putting the Pie-Charts back up.  Too boring without them.

WiseGuy - thanks.

ColinW - ish a wittle confus-ed, but thinketh I get it... So since its a 4-way race, I will post the number of votes everyone got in the second place spot. I'll also remove Hermit and give his votes to the second choice on the ballots.

Dabeav - thanks for the party info, it wasn't on the ballot.  I double-checked the voting info and my figures were correct; the sample ballot didn't have a vote for Governor. The reason the count is changed now is because a ballot was thrown out and more votes have come in.

CW, the SE is using approval voting, which means that when a ballot lists both candidates, it counts as a vote for each, so the curent tally is 5-1 not 5-0 from the 5 ballots that have been cast.

My practice has been to post the election thread some time before the election starts and then immediately lock it.  I do that mainly so that Gustaf might have a chance to lo sticky the thread before the election begins since he is likely asleep at midnight central time, which I think corresponds to 7am Swedish time.  That first post contains full election information.  The soonest I could make it available would be twelve hours before the election starts since by regulation, people could still request that their name be put on the ballot until then.

My glorious run for 24% of the vote in December.  Low turnout did me in Smiley

Of course that vote was done by approval voting, so the pie chart is highly misleading.

I was thinking…  which I know is dangerous, but…

Okay, for the Presidential and Senatorial elections, I’d like to use picture of the candidates, so if any one would like to give me a good picture of themselves for the results, please do.  I know some people don’t want to post their pictures up (I’m one of them.)  If this is the case, give me a picture of someone you admire, for example:  PBrunsel=Herbert Hoover or Keystone Phil=Rick Santorum.

I totally understand.  With anyone who objects, I’ll just do what I did in the SE Gubernatorial race.
