Cool.

I thought this might go Republican ...

But I don't think that in a Presidential year with both candidates having equal favorables that the Republican then has a chance to win.

Cheesy

Beating Rob McKenna would be far more fulfilling than beating Rossi ever was.

Good. McKenna is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE disgusting piece of trash. bgwah has told me all the horror stories about him and how he is anti-marijuana.

Agreed. It would curb-stomp all of the "OMG McKenna = Jesus X2!" euphoria coming from WA republicans. Though I think we need to be careful with McKenna, he's not a true failure like Rossi and if he went the Rossi route I could see him capturing a senate seat in the next off-year election.

Interesting.... way too early to tell anything, but I'm going to suspect that this will be another close WA gubernatorial election.

Wow, encouraging.

Jay Inslee has been smart thus far, though. Coming out in support of gay marriage was a great move.

Especially after the attendance at the PrideFest this last weekend. 400,000? Think of the fundraising/organizing potential...

Inslee looks like a pretty smarmy guy:

He's great on the issues though and certainly preferable to a far right winger.

He's certainly aged a lot from the photo the dailykos likes to use of him. Tongue

What a creepy picture...... From what I've seen of him, he seems to have quite a bit of a brash personality.....

My god.  Will the GOP ever win a statewide race in this state again?

My god.  Will the GOP ever win a statewide race in this state again?

They won two statewide races in 2008 - Attorney General and Secretary of State - and have a possibility of winning three statewide races this time around.

I doubt they will win a Senate race here for a long time though.
