I don't think it's good for the US to continue to have only White presidents.
So, no.

Could you seriously imagine Dean at a press conference?  ...and we're gonna get Osama, and Khalid, and Ayman...and then we're going to the Tora Bora to destroy Al-Qaeda!

What's wrong with that?

Strongly agree. Sums it up pretty well. It think Kerry had the potential to be the best president in many years. But he didn't have the charisma and cheerfulness needed in a modern presidential campaign.

But that's not the only reason. Bush ran a better campaign overall.

He also had an enormous advantage in being president during 9-11, thereby being able to define the "war" against terrorism. Everything that didn't conform to this definition or looked like it didn't could be used by the Bush campaign to portray Kerry as "weak".

The best candidate was John Edwards (If only he had been more expirenced...)

But I think Dean would've made the best President.

It's good to see you back.  :-)

I would say that Lieberman and Gephardt would be ahead of Edwards.

Zell Miller would have made the best president.

Yeah, he would have called up Putin and challenged him to a duel.

Disagree. Ideologically, I'd go with Dean over Kerry, but Kerry is actually a SANE person. Could you seriously imagine Dean at a press conference?  ...and we're gonna get Osama, and Khalid, and Ayman...and then we're going to the Tora Bora to destroy Al-Qaeda!

People in the crowd at the "Dean scream" event couldn't hear him.

joe lieberman would be a great president, perhaps he should just slide in an "R" next to his name and have a real shot at it

Strongly disagree

If Lieberman won the nomination then I believe the Dems would have won the White House. I would have voted for him instead of Bush. He is arguably a conservative Democrat and would be enough of a centrist to win over many moderate Republicans, maybe some conservatives, and the "anybody but Bush" crowd of the left.
