Of course most will say NYC but I've been there plenty of times and yea there is attitude but that is part of the experience...it's definetely not the rudest place I've ever been. Central Ohio, specifically the Columbus area, would take the cake as being the most rude place I've ever been to. I actually know quite a few other people who have noticed the same thing about Columbus. We have relatives there and visit quite often and I am amazed at the poor, reckless and rude driving, ass holes in the grocery stores, and just generally piss-poor attitude of the people in that area.

I don't think that will be the opinion of most on this thread. We'll have to wait and see.

NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!  Everything is so overpriced in that city, you'd think good service would go along with that, but nope, unless of course they might get a tip then they'll be nice. But people in Washington state are sooooooo much nicer. People who work at restaurants are happy and will help you pick something if you don't know what you want. We know how to use thank you and you're welcome, etc, etc.

Their are rude people all over.  Us New Yorkers let our opinons` be known, we say whats on my mind.  We will say what we think right to your face while somewhere else they will talk to you behind your back.  A waiter may give you attitude in a restaraunt if your being a pain @ss customer, another place the waiter may put on a happy face, but will spit in your food.

It all equals out.

France, followed in a close second by Germany.

Oh, but in the US?  I'd say in Washington, DC itself, though every state has its share of assholes.  Attend a high school football game anywhere in Kansas and you'll see what I mean.

I've been to numerous places, and I can't say that any of them have had a large number of rude people.

Angelinos of every race are the rudest people alive (NYers are just pissy and uptight). Next to them, native New Orleanians are ugly as well.

I don't get it. What's the big deal about the booing Santa incident? It's always brought up and I don't know the details.

On the DU and DailyKos message boards.  Even if your a moderate democrat and try to bring a little reason to it, they will curse you out.

Philly has definitely got some very rough sports fans.  There was the Flyers fan who jumped into the penalty box to go after Tie Domi.  There was the cheering when Michael Irvin received a career ending injury.  And of course, there was the Santa incident.

In 1968 the Eagles had gone 2-12.  It was the last game of the year and at halftime there was supposed to be a "Christmas Pageant".  The field conditions were too bad for any "floats" so ownership decided to just bring out Santa Claus.  Drunk and frustrated, the Philly fans started booing him and pelted him with snowballs.  Afterwards the kid playing Santa said, "thank God it snowed or they would have thrown beer bottles".

Fanatics about a particular sports team tend to be rude anywhere.

The Maryland basketball fans aren't exactly kind, especially to Duke, but that's a good thing, and something the entire state should be proud of. Unfourtantly, the University is taking away the fans right to wear shirts comparing Mike Kyschevski to Saddam Hussien and make nasty comments about Duke guard J.J. Reddick.

Making nasty comments about Redick should be required, not banned.

Pittsburgh is an extremely rude city.

Central Ohio is bad too, I've lived here 5 years and things are just getting worse.

Ok, ok so our sports fans are alittle...uh...excited about their team. The Santa incident was uncalled for because it was a kid playing the role. I didn't know the story. Thanks, Wakie.

Queenslanders=shockingly rude, except from Rockhampton. It's a nice town.

The nicest people in the world would be the Irish, but just within Australia it'd probably be Tasmanians or North Central Victorians.
