Yes actually. He would probably be best described as jmfcst's religious views + Lief's politics + Libertas' demeanor.

My politics and jfmsct's religious views aren't really compatible.

That's pretty much the lead demographic of West Virginia.

My politics and jfmsct's religious views aren't really compatible.

He was one of those "super-passionate" Christian hardcore kids (you probably don't know what I'm talking about.) So it was more like a willingness to preach and get in your face about how awesome Jesus is despite the liberal politics.

That's pretty much the lead demographic of West Virginia.

I doubt many people in West Virginia have stood in a rented warehouse with about 40 other kids and shouted in a mic about how awesome Jesus is before unintelligibly screaming running in the crowd flailing while repeatedly being hit and carried by the rest of them.

Is that really a religious view of jmfcst?

"Jesus is awesome and the reason I'm willing to injure myself!" certainly is.

I'm also reminded of the guy who reminded me of a combination of jmfcst and opebo. I ran into a few times at non-Christian hardcore shows, usually drunk and screaming about getting laid and then ended up going with him and a bunch of others to a strip club at an after-show party. He asked me to add his MySpace (yep, this is back in the day.) I did the next day and found out it was mostly just out of context Bible quotes and that "The Bible" was the only thing he had listed as a favorite book.

I'm pretty sure West Virginians would concur.

Yes, but would they be willing to destroy their vocal chords and injure themselves to tell everyone how awesome Jesus is?

But again, is that a religious view of jmfcst or simply an activity?

By such logic, anybody who drinks coffee has Lief's politics.

My politics and jfmsct's religious views aren't really compatible.

Yes, they are comparable. jfmsct opposed the protestors in Middle East, you support jailing people for a few years for protesting monarchy in Canada.

For BRTD: Well, they are ready to lose their pensions and all their benefits to be able to have a government who listens to God.

What about those crazy religious snake-handler people? That's comparable, kind of.

Uh, no he was not a jackass. I didn't like his homophobia or his support of the anti-Christian country of Israel, but outside of that he was exactly what Christianity should be all about. After all Jesus Christ was "infracted" in that day as well.

jmfcst was not a troll. Just someone willing to speak the Truth, regardless of persecution.

Remember that even OPEBO is on jmfcst's side.

Yes.  He was a horrible person, but to ban him ruins the forum.

Why are you capitalizing his name, BRTD?

Yes, because it's all caps for emphasis. That's different from just capitalizing the first letter.

I think a left-wing (not liberal) jmfcst would be one of those obnoxious incessantly-quoting-Marx people that writes long multi-word-count-limit posts with sentences like

"The evolution of Marx's use of dialectical materialism can be witnessed in The Poverty of Philosophy as Marx attempts to rebut Proudhon and so-called "utopian" socialism through a deft application of Ricardo's..."

Well I know a girl who is 7th Day Adventist and is quite religious.. but is also very liberal both socially and economically (is pro-choice, for example... probably more passionate about it than most people I know).  She's also an uber white northern Minnesotan who chooses to live in Mexico... and her demeanor is probably more like Inks than anybody (as in infinitely agreeable and friendly)

That sounds quite a bit different. You've seen my hardcore shows videos before, now imagine fast-paced rants along the lines of these in between songs:

Basically think a mixture of standard left wing hardcore bands' rants mixed with sermon-esque rants about Jesus. And he was basically the same way at the after-show party.
