DC will be more Republican in 2012 than it was in 2008, after all, Romney is well liked by black Americans.

I bet you had a hard time deciding which thread to clip this into, since it fits every category. Smiley

True. I figure Winfield is pretty much just comedy.

You're probably better off taking my word for it that this is comedy without clicking for context.

For Presidential primaries, Obama is at 100% (what happened to my write-in damn it)

I chuckled.

Why is it that Barrett is winning the counties Obama lost in '08, and Walker is winning the counties that Obama won in '08?

This web site uses red for Democrats and blue for Republicans.

I'm missing the point. I'm African American and I've researched enough of my history to know the influence white america had on the infusion of christianity in the African American community.

My point is there's plenty of democrats especilly in the hispanic and african american communities who are very homophobic

Speaking it, just because Vatican City is the only country where you'd actually speak it somewhat often.

I'm taking Latin right now.  My teacher said that the way Latin words are "pronounced" today are probably not the way they were pronounced back when it was a common language, so that's why it's primarily taught for reading purposes and generally not for speaking purposes.

The idea of someone speaking a dead language, especially, Latin (or even claiming to speak it) is inherently hilarious to me. If you don't find it so I apologise.

Depends on the word.  Mostly hard, though.

Well, of course, I meant in general. Then you're doing it right.

I personally have a great admiration for people able to speak dead languages, especially Latin.

Learning to speak a dead language seems like the very definition of a waste of time, but different strokes...

I'm told it's helpful if you're getting into archaeology, law, medicine, etc.  Other than that, yeah, it's pretty useless.

What you mean to say is, 'I took Latin in school.' Wink

I took four years of Latin in HS.  As for practicality, it did help on the verbal section of the SAT's quite a bit. Fifteen years later I haven't really remembered much except for the Ave Maria, Pater Noster and snippets of the Aeneid.

Oh and mea culpa, mea maxima culpa for defiling this hallowed institution.
