Come January we may very well witness the spectacle of the Republicans holding the Presidency, Senate, and House, with districts in place entrenching them for a decade. At the state level, Republicans may hold a clear majority of governorships, including Wisconsin, and state legislative chambers including the State Senate in Wisconsin. Conservatives already holding a slight, but persistent, majority on the Supreme Court might further augment their majorities on that and other courts.

I would note that this would only be the de jure nadir of the Democratic party. The de facto nadir of the Democratic party occurred when they made the tactical decision to become the other party of monied interest. The loss of the House, numerous governorships, the Senate, and ultimately, the courts won't be Obama's lasting destructive legacy. That would be his decision to unilaterally destroy the public financing of Presidential elections. That will harm the prospects of Democratic nominees for decades.

All this would be occurring at a time when demographic changes ought to be increasing Democratic performance each and every election.  And, this would be a scant four years after the politically disastrous Presidency of George Walker Bush.  It would seem that some soul searching ought to be in order. Instead, what I fully expect is yet further attempts to move "forward" by advocating even more aggressive censorship of otherwise innocent folks such as Krazen1211 purely based on their having the audacity to offer a dissenting opinion.

Noone seems to be reflecting meaningfully on what just happened in Wisconsin. The left came into the state with their righteous indignation that what Walker had done was beyond the pale and vented their intolerance to anyone whom they could force to listen. In one classic case a school teacher called from work to express her outrage that a service station owner had the audacity to sell gasoline to a known Republican. Both sides had the money to make their case. Surely, the left provided enough manpower. Guess what! The more you vented your intolerance, the more popular Walker became! Middle Wisconsin didn't like the vandalism, the threats, and the symbol of the murderous Black Panthers. Coming down on Krazen1211 isn't going to go over with middle American any better than trying to intimidate gas station owners. The Left has become its own worse enemy.

My advice is always this- your partner (girlfriend, wife, etc....) should BE your best friend...there were broads all my life who were beautiful, sexy, fun but I wouldn't want to rip one loose in front of them because they'd think I was a pig...
Now that I think about it- that is the advice I have. You're probably too young to be thinking of who will be your life partner but here is a good test- if you can't crack off a fart in front of her, she's not the one

Actually to be fair I have never been to such a horrific place as a restaurant where you had to order off a computer screen - and I would certainly turn around and walk out of such a vile place if I did, but that doesn't change the fact that Romney's actions can only be judged in light of his overall life of crime.
