All I can tell you is that the head moderator of swingstateproject.com has returned to his board after negotiations with Nym90, apparently waving a piece of white paper, announcin

Christ.  I'm going to stop typing this right now.  It was starting to read like something by Kalwejt.

Phil, you really need to go to a show sometime, there are a ton in Philly, to see what we're all about. They don't consist of some guy in gold chains and gangsta clothes objectifying women though.

I thought you approved of objectifying women? I mean you're not a *gasp* prude are you? Shocked

Ok, come on. I made ONE post, in response to a BRTD post that was already breaching the rules. And my post wasn't even serious.

You're now up to THREE posts criticizing my ONE post. Who's killing it now?

(well, I am, by not letting it go but that's a whole other issue)

could be that since a republican is actually leading obama, it doesn't count for his maps Tongue

Those polls have usually been repudiated quickly. PPP polls Michigan next week anyway.

One I think learned from joining this board as a teenager was that there's no correlation between who I like more and their pm score. Some of my favorite people on here I disagree with a lot  - I care more about how people conduct themselves than if they agree with me when it comes to something on the internet - this isn't a dating site (thank God).

Also this question is totally silly, since this kind of gap could occur for a +6, +8; -1 + 1; or a -6 -4... all examples would be very different, I can't think of a single a common factor would stem that from the lower econ score.

I liked the emphasized part, because it seems to imply that dating should be based on agreement about things on the internet and specifically on pm scores.

I guess my death points incurred within the JCrew thread must have rolled off...and my 10 death points for asking about Siberia should roll off in a week...pretty soon I'll be like a virgin forumite, but with an attitude of someone who has been gang raped.

In the old days, if you liked to examine the buttocks of children, you became a priest in Ireland.

If you're into that sort of thing nowadays, then you become a judge in Texas.

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose  (That's French for "old pervs never die.  they just change jobs.)

You guys may actually want to read the articles.

I assume when I make a purchase ANYWHERE on the internet this information is retained.   I really don't see what all the fuss is about.  It could place a larger record keeping burden on ISPs but other than that I don't see what the problem is.  If they began tracking and storing my browsing history then I would be upset.

Again.  Am I missing something?

But what does this have to do with protecting children from seeing tits?
Nothing. You cant stop that. Believe me. This is really about Johhny Law and Big Brother coming on in to control us even more.

I found the above quoted Jmf post very funny.

There is a dangerous trend of people quoting themselves into the goldmine though. Stop it.

straying out of your jurisdiction and attempting to encroach on another mod's turf, eh?

What you perceive as different moderators are really all part of the same entity known as the Local Internet Surveillance Team. The different personalities of moderators have merely been constructed to make the whole seem more human and accessible.

Texas's growth has come from the rich growing richer. Like any bubble, just below the surface Texas consistently remains a terrible state if you aren't rich and white. 9th largest income inequality gap in the nation, chronic corruption (up to and including Perry himself), and a heap of skeletons in the closet.

It's amusing to see liberals spout that class warfare statement given Obama's own record on 'income inequality' as you put it.

Which is atrocious. Right.

Unfortunately, for leftists, American politics is increasingly a game of less-bad options.

It doesn't have to be though. Progressives really need to create their own Tea Party movement to take control of the ideology of the Democratic Party.

Some of us have been trying (and it's been working in some states, mainly in New England), but it's incredibly hard to do on a national level because the right has controlled the dialogue for a few decades now (not implying anything sinister about the right (pun intended), but that's just the way its' been).

And Gustaf proves once again why he should be banned from any comedy threads.

That you can't understand anything beyond big boobs and hack articles doesn't really reflect badly on me, I'm afraid.

I suspect you didn't get why I found that post funny, which goes to prove that you should probably stick with the hot girls thread. It seems to be the only thread your intellect can grapple with.

Really, there wasn't any need to prove my point again.

(I stop here before Lief and Kal take me to the task)

So, is this basically a thread where you can cherry-pick similarities while concurrently dismissing differences? You can do all that with ANY YEAR and/or time period.

yes, the thread is exactly as you described it, but different.

Let's be fair and admit that there are people thinking this way. They're not many though.

There are certain things that Mike Naso is the only person on Earth who will say them.

opebo is the ultimate one, though. Who else would make a topic bragging about eating McDonald's at a Burger King while discussing the evils of overreaching corporations?

It used to be true, but in recent years Opebo has gone dreadfully repetitive. There is never the randomness that makes Naso so great in his posts.

I've only played WoW once and that was cuz I got a free demo from Hot Topic. I mean, I generally stay indoors because I hate being outside and being around many of the people that I live near, so I just write songs and sleep all day. I don't get that stereotype either.

Can you be 100-0 if you like stereotypically gay things? Like say you like some musicals or opera.

I think so, considering you can like musicals and opera without being sexually attracted to other men. It's rare, but it does happen.

Honestly it is hard to believe and terribly disturbing that one meets persons here who have not read Kafka.  What is the point of engaging suchlike?

Do you find it Kafkaesque?

Okay, buddy! 3/4 of the political subjects discussed on these forums I could pound you into the ground on with little effort as many on here have already learned.

As can be shown by his impressive knowledge of Mrs Franz Kafka and of the well-known British politicians Willy Brandt and Tage Erlander.

On the other hand, he was talking to Bgwah. So it sort of evens out, I'd say.
