Wow. Weak approval rating. I still won't get my hopes up on this one.

I can't believe they included Cummings in this poll. She wouldn't do much better than 31% if she somehow became the nominee.

Let me put it this way: there's a reason why I've been asking political friends if they'd be interested in running for the U.S. Senate next year.  Tongue

In all fairness, I don't know much about Scaringi. I know he worked for Santorum and that's great but I still need to see more. I've checked out Cummings' Facebook page (since that's the link provided for her on Politics1). I really won't comment any further than that. Check it out for yourself and you'll agree.

Corman already said he isn't running. Gerlach won't run (I still he already said as much) and I doubt that Murphy will either. Santorum might come back and he looks like our best shot but that isn't saying much. The people I've asked to run haven't been major rumored candidates and won't run either.

Two businesspeople that weren't included in the poll have been thinking about it. One of them is the owner of Dick's Sporting Goods. He might be encouraged to jump in after seeing the weak approval rating for Casey...or be scared away by his large lead against unknown opponents.

It's a shame he won't be primaried........I wouldn't mind seeing someone take him out there.

I like Wagner and Onorato a lot more than Casey.

Onorato is apparently thinking about running for Wagner's current job while Wagner is apparently considering a run for Pittsburgh Controller since he's term limited as Auditor General.

Casey's only chance of being primaried is from the Left and it isn't going to happen at this point. Wagner would never run against him since they are friends.
