Tom Jensen teases us on twitter about tomorrow's results (poor T-Paw!):

http://twitter.com/#!/ppppolls

Our national Republican poll for this month finds Michele Bachmann in the lead, if only by a point.

Bachmann gets 44% of Palin vote, Romney gets 6%. If Palin doesn't run, polls currently including her under sell Bachmann

Rick Perry debuts in our national polling at 12%. Will replace Pawlenty in our state level general election polls because T-Paw is now 8th

We are only dropping Pawlenty from our general election polling at the state level, he'll still be in the primary polling.

So that makes PPP's general field Romney, Bachmann, Perry, Palin, and Cain (assuming Huntsman was only polled in Utah because it was his homestate).

Pawlenty was a more viable candidate when nobody knew who he was so this will be good for him.

I am still divided if I should be rooting for Bachmann to win the primary... She would be terrifying if she somehow managed to get elected, but would probably do horribly seeing as how Obama is an excellent campaigner.

Go Bachmann?

Bachmann is so terrifyingly awful that she would rally even the most disappointed of liberal Democrats to not only vote for Obama but donate and volunteer.

Unless the stock market randomly crashes in October, in which case nearly every Republican would beat Obama.

Still though, not nominating Romney is basically the only chance Obama has, so this is good (and also hilarious of course) news. Especially Pawlenty in 8th place, hahah.

8th place? Does that mean Pawlenty is behind Huntsman now? lol.

Quite frankly, I think Obama wins even against Romney.

Lets see...  I bet the order is:

1. Bachmann
2. Romney
3. Palin
4. Perry
5. Paul
6. Cain
7. Gingrich
8. Pawlenty

Lol Pawlenty.

They don't include Huntsman in the polls?

Not in general election polling.

I predict Huntsman is 7th and Gingrich 9th.  Newt has already been a joke long enough that him being that low isn't even worth tweeting about.

Nah, he must be higher than Santorum.

Pawlenty is already in 8th place in national primary polling (with Santorum and Huntsman 9th and 10th), just from the existing primary polls:

Only reason this would be a new thing for PPP is because they didn't include Perry in their last national poll.  Once polls started including Perry, Pawlenty in 8th place became commonplace.

If it comes down to Bachmann v. Romney in a long drawn out campaign, it looks like Bachmann may have an advantage.

Good, good...

Pollsters should do more polls like this.  Romney vs. another GOP.  That's really what matters.  We're just waiting on Iowa to decide who that person is.
