The Republican Party Presidential preference Primaries shall be held on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of January 2005. Altough we stay behind President PBrunsel, the Primary Elections must be held as a pro-forma matter.
The Republican National Convention shall be held at the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center Omaha, in Omaha, Nebraska, from the 26th to the 29th of January, 2005.
                                                              The Chairman,

Here is what he said in this speech late last night

It's been a long road since that first campaign.  I was a newbie when I organized the write-in campaign that sent me to the senate for my first term.  I was a veteran by the time I faced reelection eight months later.  And now I join Harry and Texasgurl in the misty obscurity of political oblivion.

I want to thank all of my supporters.  We all gave as good as we got, but alas, 'twas not quite enough in the end.  I would particularly like to thank John Ford and Wildcard.  You guys were with me from the start of this campaign.  Your endorsements really meant a lot.  Perhaps one of you will see fit to run for senate at some time in the future.

I now offer my congratulations to Senator-Elect Gabu.  You ran a hell of race and, no matter how much I disagree with you on the issues, I can't deny that you're a man of honor.  You ran on the issues even when others in your party were urging you to abandon your principles.  We both fought hard, stuck to our principles, and you came out on top.  Congratulations.  Best of luck over the next four months.

I've had a few days now to think about what I will do when I leave the senate.  I'm not entirely sure.  Something non-political, I think.  I want to get away from partisan politics for awhile.  Which leads me to my next announcement.  Effective immediately, I will no longer be chairman of the AFRNC.  Bono will be taking charge of the party and I have every confidence that under his leadership we will reelect President PBrunsel.

Thank you all and God Bless.

StevenNick

Bono, We need to be in a fancier place than a Doubletree in Omaha. Thats more suited to the Libertarian convention than the Republican convention. Well at least were having it in some place that votes Republican but I'm sure theirs a better place to hold the convention.

I'd like to agree with ColinW and say that Omaha just won't work for an AFRNC convention. I encourage fellow Republicans to come up with some suggestions for sites and ask that our Chairman give some consideration to these other locations.

Place I would suggest: Chicago, St. Louis, Denver and of course Philadelphia  Smiley

I would suggest Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland (if you want something a little out of the way. I would recommend the Ritz Carlton in Cleveland.), Atlanta, and Dallas.

Richmond would be a fine place to hold the Convention. I would also support Richmond as the site of the Convention in January.

I wouldn't mind Richmond as the location.

Look! Convention delegates take a quick break from the convention activities.

After the real-life debacles of Boston and New York this past summer, I can honestly say that I hope the major parties choose to hold their conventions elsewhere.  (The Libertarian and United Left parties are welcome.)  In any case, I am directing that no public subsidies be given to political conventions by any politiical subdivision of the Southeastern Region.  Don't expect streets to be blocked off to create a buffer zone, and do expect to pay for your own security if you come here.  The economies of our Southeastern cities are vibrant enough that we don't have to be so desperate as to host a political convention.

Being from Houston, I would say, dear God, y'all better not be holding it at the George R. Brown Convention Center.  That thing is a piece of [excrement].  Hold it any one of their fine sports stadiums there, like Reliant Stadium or the Toyota Center or Enron (not Minute Maid Park).

Hell quickly left Detroit, the motor city was just too evil for Hell's tastes.
