At least Bush was funny and understood the concept of self-parody.

Say what you want about Bush, but at least he had leadership, a very important characteristic for a president.

Obama has gone AWOL on almost all the big issues. His administration thinks "leading from behind" is a positive trait. I despair, sometimes....

Obama's White House is very Nixonian to me. Lots of Congressional issues, behind the scenes with occasional press conferences, some Rose Garden discussions, barely any Oval Office addresses.

Bush's White House, despite what some say, was more transparent in my opinion. Bush was always out there saying, "I am the decider" which was the clearest leadership seen from a President since Truman said, "The buck stops here."

He was just put into office at a bad time.
I thought the beginning of 2001 was a great time.
Now January 2009 was a bad time to be put into office.

That is exactly how I feel about Bush.  I dont see it in Obama, but I saw that exact think in Bush.
