News channels say that Christie was hospitalized due to weight-related breathing problems. Do you think this kills "CHRISTIE 2012" speculation and the push to get him to run?  I do.

No not really, considering how little real force was behind the "movement."

Imagine, he losses weight in a dramatic fashion. I don't believe he could fast enough to be fit for the primaries, but in pragmatic sense people like human interest stories and if he can make a thing of getting healthier it could actually help him. Huckabee was undoubtedly helped with the likability factor when it came to the his fight with his weight. Still Christie doesn't have the appeal to a broad base that Huckabee did, so it may be neither here nor there.

Wasn't it just Ann Coulter? Maybe Christie can donate some of his fat to her so she looks less like a weird concoction of out-of-proportion human skeleton wrapped in decaying skin. It's not as if he needs it.

This is a nonstory, so is Christie running for President in 2012. The only thing people should be asking after Christie goes to the hospital is "Is he okay?" and the answer today was yes.
