No and thus neither should we.

I don't know, I think the beat-back that happened in the wake of the Inks-Deluge debacle (and the descent of Leip to address it) means that the Mods don't have the standing right now to pull off a ban of a big-name poster.  this place would absolutely erupt, at least for opebo.  jmf maybe a bit less so, but still an outcry.  doesn't mean it could not happen at a future point.

You know only Nym and Dave can ban people, right?

Why is this relevant?

We should all strive to follow Jesus Christ, not man-made rules like of religion. Or the TOS.

Jesus was banned for your sins. Rochambeau did not accept Jesus' ban as a way for him to obtain eternal membership.

This sums up my view pretty well:

Quote from: I Built The Cross - Heart of a Servant lyrics
Impaled high above the crowd the sins of the world pour from your hands and feet.
Mocked and defiled, embedded in your head are thorns.
This is love.
Lord, I am eternally grateful, and my heart is all I have to give.
Now religion has destroyed.
This was never how things were meant to be.
We are no longer bound by the law.
In his blood we find freedom.
We are saved by grace.
So give me peace through these times of struggle, and hope through time of distress.
Give me the heart of a servant, so I may serve you with all of my heart.
Your religion is dead.
But Jesus, you give life.
This is my purpose, to live for your glory.
Lord, I give you praise.
You died for me, I'll live for you.
I would give my life for this.

It is isn't religion and its rules that we should strive to follow, nor the ToS of this website. We should follow the way of Jesus Christ. If the mods are going to put the ToS over it, they'll just have to answer to God one day for that. The mods are quite lucky that He is far more merciful and forgiving than they are.

I don't know what's worse.

He is not quite the type of Christian that I am or that I would consider ideal but the latter is obviously worse. I don't, honestly, care all that much about Rochambeau (though I do support unbanning him, on fairly similar grounds to BRTD's actually) or whether or not the TOS are consonant with Christian doctrine (in my opinion there's no reason to expect that they should be, any more than there is to expect that they should specifically not be), but I do applaud this level of...we'll call it 'commitment', for now, I guess.

Your brand of Christianity freaking out the normals is one of the signs that you're doing it right (although not the only one).

So, I go to Quebec for a tad more than 24 hours... and the Roach is banned, his fanclub buys tin foil hats and stage a funeral, BRTD has some creepy new obsession with Jesus or religion or something? Did I miss anything?
