Does this mean you wouldn't support a primary challenger from the right? Shocked

I now live in Kooyong (yes, that's right, *I* live in *Kooyong*)

Have you bought some pearls to clutch, or do they provide them for free?

I live in the Haw Chi Minh City part, so I got given free pearl chopsticks.

Frelinghuysen is probably among the very cream of the Republican crop. Sadly that means so very little these days that I'm undecided in my opinion of him. Thinking objectively, he's terrible but when considering the alternatives, I'd gladly take him 9 times out of 10.

I've always liked Fitzpatrick.  Especially so when he does things to earn the moniker...Moderate Mike...but Bucks County politics are a fickle thing...so we'll see how moderate he can actually be.

Yeah, he's done nothing objectionable and generally towed the Democratic party line, which makes him a relative FF.

By the way, welcome to the forum, greenforest32!

Thanks.

As for my representative, I'm in OR-3 and I'd say the current representative (Earl Blumenauer) is a FF.

Yep, I like him a bit more than Anna Eshoo (my current Congresswoman-though not for long).

Of course I wouldn't support one. I'd rather have 80% of what I want, rather than 0% when a Democrat would win the seat.

Allyson Schwartz.  Haven't been happy with her, but her prior opponents (extreme rightist Dee Adcock, the joke Raj from the Apprentice) would have been FAR worse.  Lean FF.  I originally thought she'd be far to the left of me in the mold of a Lynn Woolsey, etc., but moved drastically rightward from her time as a State Senator.  In fact I voted in the 2004 primary for a more centrist Joe Torsella, whom I thought was more electable at the time.

Nope!  He hit the 3rd rail of American politics with voting for the Ryan budget.  Which is why I can't wait to see what the redraw will look like and who the potential challengers are.

Uh...the redraw is going to favor him and the Dems have only two rumored candidates that are pretty weak anyway (and the redraw doesn't matter for the potential challengers since none of the rumored candidates are from the edges of the district). You shouldn't be excited at all.

He was far more electable and would have won by a bigger margin. If I knew we'd be stuck with a Democratic member, I would have wished that he won.

...that's not happening and Fitz doesn't need it to happen. He very likely won't have Northeast Philly and that part of eastern Montco anymore which is a huge relief (especially the latter part being gone. He always took a beating there and even though it isn't a big area, it made a difference). Therefore, the redraw favors him.
