At 7:59, one minute before polls close in many states, we have good news for President Bush.
He's won in Ohio and North Carolina. Virginia is too close to call at this hour, it may be because of the "Nunn effect" in the South.

Ohio:

Bush 52%
Dean 46%

North Carolina:

Bush 51%
Dean 47%

8:30: Welcome back and we have a major state to call for President Bush. The state of Virginia will now be put in the President column. This is a major blow for Governor Kerry

The first two are victories for the President in his home state of Texas and the important swing state of New Hampshire. This is a blow to Dean as he was hoping for a sweep of the New England states.
