I'm not.  If demographic trends hold it will be a swing state by 2016.  Same goes for North Carolina though; IMO those states should vote in tandem, or at least closely when it comes to popular vote percentages.

EDIT: Ody, think we should set up a claims system like for the old map games?

Official Claims List
Do not go out of turn.  Leave two spaces between your claims, i.e. let two people go before you go again.

Sure. Question: How do we choose the next election? I'm thinking Bush/Cheney vs. Dean/Nunn.

You can start another one right now if you'd like (though it would probably be best to wait until we finish this one).  I suggest for the next one we go back in time a bit and do, say, Reagan vs. Carter in 76.

9:03: After an uncharacteristically long wait, we can now call all of Maine's Electoral Votes for Casey.

Perry: 40.7%
Other: 1.2%

9:38: Wyoming votes once again for the Democratic ticket.  At this time, we feel confident to call the election for Governor Casey.  Exit polls show him ahead of Governor Perry by a large margin in California.  He can lose every other state, which we view as extremely unlikely, and still win the election with only California.

Perry: 61.7%
Casey: 38.1%
other: .2%

Casey/Klobuchar - 228 EV's (I'm pretty sure you misounted Smiley)
Perry/Rubio - 132 EV's

(Shall we move on to another or are you guys invested in finishing this one?

7:10: We can definitively call the first two states of the night for incumbent President George W. Bush.  Kentucky and South Carolina vote Republican.

Bush/Cheney: 16 EV's
Dean/Nunn: 0 EV's

And don't call Georgia for Dean.  I mean, it's 2004.  Come on.
