If President Obama were to lose in 2012 against a Romney or a Perry do you think he goes for it again in 2016? I feel like President Romney or (in this case more likely) Perry would have to be so unpopular by an 'even-worser-than-we-thought' economy that the Obama brand becomes  polished by it.

I feel like he would have to be vindicated in some way, like Healthcare Reform kicks in (and isn't terrible) just enough for people to like it before it is repealed. Or something.

Thoughts?

No, he wouldn't be able to get the nomination.

No, and quite honestly, I don't think he wants it. Read his eyes...I get the impression he truly doesn't want a second term.

The only way I see it happening is if there's some kind of win-the-popular-vote, lose-the-electoral-college scenario.  And even then the primary would be tough.

I'm not sure that he doesn't want it but I don't think he'll consider his life ruined if he doesn't get it.

He would win the primary easily (though I'd probably be supporting someone else). Given what would inevitable happen with a Republican in charge, he wins in a landslide. However, he wouldn't run.
