This one time, I bought these little TV dinners, they were on sale, 2 for $1.99, but each was $0.99 regular, so it was a cent more.

On Waffle House menus now, the way they show the savings for combos and such is to show the original price marked out, with the new combo price in red beside it. There's one on the menu that's marked something like,

$4.29 $4.27!!!

It gives me a chuckle every time.

at the store there's some oatmeal marked "clearance" with price reduced from 3.99 to 3.79. The normal sale they used to have on it a week every other month was 2.99

In school once this kid, during silent reading, was all "aaaa...AAAA...AAA!!!!" like he was about to sneeze but then didn't and we all laughed.
