Dow @ 11061.12, up 69.  It was down about 100-110 at one point, so volatility is there.

Dow @ 11401,01, down 108.  It was lower by 240 earlier in the day, so still high volatility.  Money was leaving the stock market and heading toward Treasury Bonds.

Please refrain from simply posting the numbers without any analysis or commentary. There are many other places on the web where this information may be obtained.

Dow @ 10808.71, up 153.  A rumor from Europe that the the finance ministers were going to recapitalize the banks sparked a late day rally.  The range was about 400 points, so we are still seeing huge volatility.

So far, there is a slight downward trend in the Dow, but the volatility is the real problem.

Dow @ 10,939.95, up 131.  Gold is also going up.  Earlier money was effective flowing out of the stock market and into gold.  Gold would increase while stocks would decrease.  That relationship has changed.

Dow up 183 at @11,1233.33.    In the last 5 weeks, the Dow is off only slightly, about 200 points.  There is huge volatility.  Today, the market was generally up, so it was an orderly advance.

Dow up 330 @11,343.18.  The reason was given as a Franco-German move to recapitalize European banks.

It closed near the high indicating an orderly advance, which is the best possible scenario.
