Dear citizens of Atlasia,

It has been my great pleasure to serve as Secretary of Forum Affairs for the past six months, under three different presidents.  After some recent dramatic events in my personal life (discussed elsewhere), I am just not up to doing the job anymore.

I hate to admit this, but NixonNow is right.  I am 40 years old, and I need to get a real life.

I know that this will not cause any major crisis.  There are many in Atlasia who can effectively fill my shoes, and I'm sure a worthy candidate will be selected.  There is also plenty of time before the next elections.  I know that many will be saddened by my decision, but I really feel that it is the best thing for me to do at this time, both for myself and for Atlasia.

I will no longer be maintaining the Atlas Forum Headquarters, either.  I would suggest that my replacement copy my post and start a new HQ thread.  It is not in the specified duties of the SOFA to maintain this, but I think that it is appropriate.  HQ is in fine shape right now, and can stand until my replacement (or someone else) takes it over.

I also wish to resign as Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party, to which I was recently elected.  I would prefer not to have any official duties at this time.

I will still be around, as a private citizen.

Thank you and god bless.

Do what is best for you, Fritz. I am sorry to see you go, your expertise was not equaled by anyone, and you were unbiased in Government.

Have fun, Fritz and good luck.  I'll be doing the same thing with my standard Christmas three-week vacation from the Internet starting Monday or Tuesday.

How am I going toi replace Fritz? There is no replacement to him. To ask for a more qualified man is an imposibility, but to ask for less is an insult to Atlasia.

What shall I do?

Wow, words cant describe that Fritz means to this forum. I knew this was coming for little bit now, and it doesnt make it any harder. There will never be another SOFA like Fritz. Therefore I proclaim that, today is FRITZ DAY throughout the Northeast region.

Sorry to see you go, Fritz. You were truly one of the best and most honorable folks here. I hope you will stay active as a private citizen. You have a bright future ahead of you if you should ever decide to return to actively seek a position.

Ouch.  That sucks.  Atlasia won't be the same without you. Sad

Still, I wish you the best and I can understand your reasons.  Best of luck to you.

There are only a couple of peple who are supported by all sides of Atlasian politics, because they do fantastic jobs. Fritz, you are one of them.

Thank you for your long and outstandingly good service to Atlasia and to those individuals amongst us who used your advice and sought your opinion on so many issues-that you call always respond on in a smart, unbiased and correct manner. We'll miss you.

(I suppose now would be a good time to ask for a divorce Wink)

Insult Atlasia.  We can take it. Wink

You won't find a better SoFA, but the show must go on, as they say.

This is too bad.  You gotta do what you gotta do, but I figure there's nothing wrong with an 80 year old getting some escapism on the internet.  Stick around to vote, at least.

This does, however, make me the longest serving cabinet member in history at 6 months, having taken office at the same time as Fritz.
