I think that is possible to get absolute majority or at least a plurality of seats to NDP. Dippers can target some seats in Liberal strongholds, like in Montréal and some seats that went Tory because vote splitting in GTA. I don't rule out a NDP breakthrough even in some provinces like Alberta (at least 5 seats) and gains in historical NDP territories like SK and MB.

I think that if Liberals get a stronger leader and Topp gets leadership, NDP will sink. Nash can be weak at French, but she can have a strong bond with Quebec in policies. That was the first factor for Orange Crush.

Will Mulcair try a revenge by denying a place to Topp as candidate for MP or throwing him in a very difficult riding? I think that NDP should promote and develop fresh faces to get a strong campaign. Broadbent was unable to do Quebec gains with a better national conjuncture.
