First of all, I'll finally post my victory speech Smiley

(setting: the newly created Belle Fourche Convention Center, Belle Fourche, SD)
(cheers)
ILV: *waves hands around*
(teenage girl platoon faints)
ILV: *John Edwards thumbs up*
(cheering)
ILV: Thank you!  Thank you!  Hello!
(cheering)
ILV: Yes!  Thank you!  Thank you to everyone from the Midwest!
(applause.  numerous ILV for Governor signs held up)
ILV: Even if you did not vote for me!
(scattered boos)
ILV: Now, to rest my voice from shouting at the late returns that went for me, I'll let Bob Announcer tell you what else you got!
(curtains behind ILV open, revealing a HUGE TV.  ILV walks off stage)
Bob Announcer: That's right, ILV.  Nto only did you reelect the all-great-one ILV, you now know how to pronounce his name!
(cheers)
Bob: Remember... it's EYE (crowd: EYE! screen: I) -- LIKE (crowd: LIKE! screen: LIKE) -- VEHR-IN! (crowd: VEHR-IN screen: VERIN) But that's not all!
(wild screams)
Bob: You also won new election laws, to make elections work better for you!
(applause)
Bob: Not only that, but governors not from Minnesota don't have to be sworn in by the District 3 senator!
(applause)
Bob: But there's sitll stuff you didn't win...
(ohhhh, awwww)
Bob: Yes, you did not win an initiative to keep crazy partisanship out of the Midwest.
(awww)
Bob: And you didn't give money to the troops so they could train better... and thus train Iraqis better and get ourselves outta there faster!
(ohhh...) (ILV walks back on stage)
ILV: Thank you!  And remember, stay after for the ILV Super-Hyper-Celebration Dance Party, DJed by me!
("music_70s", from Monopoly Tycoon, starts playing)

~~~
Anyway Smiley
Anyone interested in a Midwest regional website?  Maybe a forum, too, but I'm not sure.
Also, I'll work on a less confusing ballot for February Smiley
Any questions?
(setting: the newly created Belle Fourche Convention Center, Belle Fourche, SD)
(cheers)
ILV: *waves hands around*
(teenage girl platoon faints)
ILV: *John Edawards thumbs up*
(cheering)
ILV: Sí, límpialo! No, no lo limpies! Sí, ponla!
(cheering)
ILV: Sí! Lávalos! Mamá se maquilla con un espejo!
(applause. numerous ILV for Governor signs held up)
ILV: Tú te secas con una toalla!
(scattered boos)
ILV: Tú te llavas los dientes con la pasta de dientes, no vayas a fiestas con tus amigos!
(curtains behind ILV open, revealing a HUGE TV. ILV walks off stage)
Bob Announcer: Haz los quehaceres, ILV. Ve al supermercado ILV, yo me lavo la cabeza con el champú!
(cheers)
Bob: Nos lavamos... se BAÑA (crowd: BAÑA! screen: I) -- se PEINA (crowd: PEINA! screen: LIKE) -- VEHR-IN! (crowd: VEHR-IN screen: VERIN) Sí, prepárala!
(wild screams)
Bob: No, no las cuides, ten paciencia con tus abuelos!
(applause)
Bob: Se afeita, Carmen y yo nos secamos el pelo con una toalla!
(applause)
Bob: Nosotros nos despertamos a las once menos cinco...
(ohhhh, awwww)
Bob: Sí, no pongas los libros en el gimnasio, ponlos en la biblioteca.
(awww)
Bob: No digas malas palabras... di buenas palabras!
(ohhh...) (ILV walks back on stage)
ILV: Sí, léelo! No, no lo leas, no comas dulces antes de cenar, cómelos después de cenar!
LOL, yes, that too Smiley
That's one of my ideas for the Midwestern flag.  Sky blue and 'grain yellow'.  The top blue is for the sky and horizon, the top yellow is for the sun, the bottom yellow is for the agricultural resources of our region, and the bottom blue is for the lakes and rivers of our region Smiley
My other idea is similar to this: a circle of 10 stars, with two intersected like the first one and four above and below the 'horizon line'
I'd be interested, although so far it looks like it would be the "ILikeVerin and Alcon Talking to Themselves" web site and forum. Wink
They are the only region without a national guard, have no constitution establishing them as a real independent body, and their leader is...um...absent. They would be the perfect region to invade Smiley
If invaded I'll order a group of Marylanders to hold all of Nyman (which is in our region) hostage until the other 3 regions bring in their large armies and take out the Midwesterners.
Some problems with that plan, Akno.
First of all you're assuming that the other Regions will care about what happens to the city of Nyman.  That might be the case for the Northeast, but I think it is safe to say that the Southeast and probably the pacific Regions won't mind all that much if we lose a few bureaucrats.
Second, you're assuming that the Midwest doesn't share.  If we decided to go to a four Region setup, it would be easiest to eliminate the Mideast Region and use the following map:
I think people will care if we hold hostage a Presidential Candidate who is amazingly popular, such as Kemperor. So Ernest, you don't care if the heads of WMS and StatesRights get chopped off?
I was using the current region map, which is the only fair way to do this stuff.
Why would a Presidential Candidate waste his time being in Nyman?
The new Senate isn't is place so why would Senator-elect WMS be there?
As for StatesRights, given the monster some make him out to be, what makes you think his head wouldn't just grow back? Smiley
Because he currently works there.
Well, maybe he moved in early, and also, this isn't going to happen right now. It can wait 2 weeks.
Well then, we'll have plenty of time to get the people we care about out of Nyman before the invasion takes place.
I do not condone Akno's threat of holding Nyman hostage. However, I am hereby announcing the creation of the independent 'Mideast Militia' preparing to counter any enemies of the Mideast region.  Any and all Mideasterners take note. I am even considering postponing campaign stops in my Governor's campaign to oversee training and deployment.  I am buying thousands of barely-legal weapons, as well as antique fighters and bombers mixed with jerry-rigged private planes (hey, I don't know where I can legally buy F-16's!), and several hundred Hummers and thousands of gallons of camo paint.
Also, Governor Wildcard, Senator-elect WMS, i would be interested in some negotiations... New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado do belong in the West after all...  ;-)
