i voted for the Houston side of myself, but I'm surprised the two other votes have been casted for the Boston side who was tarred, feathered, and banned by this forum through two separate mod reviews and a one month sequestering

are you trying to tell me, that after all the reported posts and death points I incurred while in Boston, there's only been 9 men, some gentle some not so gentle, to vote in the 8 hours this poll has been open....?

...I feel used!

A man of conviction is the same man no matter what city he lives in.

As for the question, I have no idea. Have you been playing good cop/bad cop depending on which state you're in?

one was mine.  Your sense of humor seems to be heightened during those Beantown periods.  Sometimes terse (when you're on the attack), sometimes dry (the post about hitching a ride with the Russians or borrowing money from China to take the diamond and rule the world was golden); and sometimes bawdy (well, there's no shortage of Cowboy cheerleader images on the 'net.)

So, as depressing as it may be for you, I actually prefer Boston jmfcst.

Think of yourself as the opposite of George Bush the Elder, who started out a Yankee but only found himself once he decided to call Houston home.

but you have heard, Gen 2:18 "The LORD God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone.'"

this has been a painful 6 months for me, people that hear me talk about being away from my family get the impression that I've been diagnosed with cancer.

It's been good for me in many ways though, I realize that I have relatively few problems and even throughout this 6 months, I've been able to spend 3 days out of almost each week at home, and skype has been a big help allowing me to eat meals with my family even when I am in Boston...but it has still been painful, but it is almost over - 36 more hours.  I can't imagine how I would hold up under a real problem.

I can't imagine not seeing my son for six months.  Still, you were taking regular junkets out West, enjoying steak and potatoes with the family fairly frequently.  It's not like you just just served a six-month prison term, confined to a small cell shared with a rat and a burly tattooed Bostonian of Irish descent named Billy McFinn who liked your fragrance and the way you walk.  Get over yourself.

Okay. I forgot you were older and had a family. I just remember periodically seeing your avatar changing between TX and MA thinking nothing of it. That makes perfect sense then.

true, but when you're not home for 4-5 days out of the week, the time that you are home is all spent in a mad frenzy catching up with chores and whatnot you weren't able to do during a normal week...so during those 3 days at home, there is no down time, and the quality of family life suffers...

hold there, cowboy...you can call GG "older" since he chose for himself the moniker GG.  I chose nothing of the sort for myself.  I'm still on the birth side of 45, but GG is on the grave side of...hold on a moment I forget...HEY GG!  PUT YOUR TEETH IN AND TELL THIS YOUNG WHIPPERSNAPPER HOW OLD YOU ARE!

I can't see any difference; I like both.

Although you shouldn't make polls about yourself. Wink

Old enough to be my parent will always mean "older" to me with or without dentures, an AARP Card and the like Tongue

Come on, you didn't 'gather any signatures' in all that time up there alone?  What a waste of time away from the wife.
