Actually, I think that if there were a "Northern League" equivalent in the US it would probably represent... the South. It's the most particularist region and history gives it sense.

Why do Idaho and Alaska vote for PD ? Huh Also, I'd see the PD stronger in the Rust Belt (PCI legacy) and weaker in the West.

Stan, if I may intrude in your thread, here's how I'd see the 1976 election going :



Christian Democracy : 38,71%, 318 EVs
Comunist Party of America : 34,37%, 220 EVs

This keeping the RL percentages, which of course would be just impossible. Grin
