Modern "Pop Rap" is trash.  "Gangster Rap" is also trash.  But there is some good Hip-Hop, most of which is "underground" (Atmosphere, Citizen Cope, Flobots, etc.).  Equivocating a music genre with inner-city black America, as I assume this thread is doing, is incredibly stupid.

It's been mostly crap post-1999/2000.
