Gore's motorcade had arrived at the plaza after he conceded to Bush on Election Night 2000. What would have happened had Gore and Lieberman been on stage and conceded, then after they saw the votes in Florida tighten up and decided to retract their concession?

He would have made a joke of himself.

He shouldn't have conceded in first place.

This may be, however, I believe at the time he conceded Bush was leading by about 100,000 votes.

Actually it was more like 30-50,000. Still hard to believe how immediate his concession was considering the retraction and the long-winded legal battle.

I also thought Gore conceded too quickly.

Florida was gone for him the moment baby Jeb Bush rigged the vote for his brother. It didn't really matter what Gore would have done on election night.

...and you have to remember that Florida has an amazing TOTV (Throw out the Vote) machine. A good 1 in 8 people down there can't even vote.
