Of the eights candidates listed above offer up your predictions for how the election will play out against Obama, with unemployment at 8.2%. I'll start with Perry.

Perry 180

Missouri, Georgia and Texas are toss ups.

Agree with Obama v. Perry for the most part. Perry too far right to appeal to moderates. Unemployment also seems to be lessening.

With unemployment down 1% in a year, he'd definitely win, but he'd need more than that to win states he didn't win in 2008 vs. Perry.  He's probably in Truman or Bush 2004 range here.
