Surely he knows that he'll lose...And that his Presidency might help more Republicans win in Congress. Surely he knows that even if he does win, the GOP will block his every action and might even try to do some sort of impeachment measure like they did with Clinton (investigation after investigation until they find something, no matter how small, to try and bring him down)

Even if he wins again...What does that mean for the country? For the Democratic Party? For liberals? The man is basically a Republican pretending to be a Democrat. He caves and capitulates on everything. Why run again? Why not simply just say he isn't running again?

What harm would that do the Democratic Party?

How often has Obama caved? How often has he simply delivered the GOP what they want? He's weak. He's no fighter.

In 2010, Obama's approval rating outperformed that of the average Democrat.

Obama regularly outperforms is approval rating in head to head matchups.

Ergo, if another Democrat runs, they'll be of lower calliber AND there will be no confidence in the Democratic Party as a whole seeing as their last President just gave up.

In short, it would be an electoral disaster for the Democrats.  They'd loose the Senate, Presidency, more of the house, state races, etc.

Seeing the effect the Presidency has had on its officeholders, I can't imagine running for President without being pretty damn arrogant.

I think that, looking at the senators up, the Democrats are very likely to lose the Senate, even if there is an Obama victory.

At this point in time, Obama's numbers are lower than any president since 1972 that was reelected.  That said, his numbers are not that much lower than the lowest president to be reelected.

I've been looking at Gallup to compare Obama with other presidents.  The president elected with the lowest approval number was Clinton (42% in January 1996).  It was closer to the election, but a bit higher.

I would not write Obama off just yet.

It would be far better for Democrats if Obama loses in 2012.  If Democrats lose the Senate and Obama is reelected in the same year, what is the point?  This win the Presidency and screw everything else attitude of Democrats is going to kill them.

Because Obama is a secret Koch Brothers/Bircher agent. He knows that he will lose big time to the Republican candidate, and that the Republican's coattails will give the Republicans more seats in congress. He was a Republican plant the entire time!11! Think about it! WHY did the Diebold machines not give McCain a victory in 2008? Obama was given the presidency by the Koch brothers to keep the illusion of democracy alive while still running the country.

In 2013, a Republican will take the White House, and the Koch Tea Beck agenda will be forced on the country.

You would wish that upon the country wouldn't you.....Reaganite?

Face the facts Republikkkans, you guys cast your death cards in 2010.  Now your evil corporapotatic evil nazi fascistic racist homophobic sexist black hating white supremacist hispanic hating asian hating anti-semite anti-dog anti-jew Zionist lover agenda is revealed before the entire WOOOOOOORRRRLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDD!
Do you honestly think that 2012 will be anywhere near the brief moment of levity known as 2010?  Well you're wrong warmonger.  2012 will be the ultimate culmination of the Democratic Party's ultimate objective since it's founding: the destruction of the evil and vile business loving Republican Party.  Mark my words 2012 will be the year that the mantle of Reaganista conservatism is dealt it's death blow by the hand of Barack Hussein Obama, the greatest president in all of the annals of histories of the history of the United States of America and the wurld!
So better start embracing equality and eating your raisin granola oats every morning, lest xenophobic anti-union hibernian hating Wal-Mart fetishists like yourself are left to burn in the ash heap of history.

Barack Obama is guaranteed at least 59% of the popular vote total (though it wouldn't surprise me if he won 65% once the GOP's bullsh*t is no longer hideable) and OVER 480 ELECTORAL VOTES (say goodbye Kansas and Texas!).
Anybody who thinks otherwise is just being an unenlightened meth addicted hillybilly from Arkansas who dreams of the days when it was alright to call black people the N-word.
