Are you not going to include bill status in the topic lines anymore, bgwah?
And here I thought you weren't on board with torturing the innactive Senators.

Looks like the fatal flaw in the last amendment was fixed.

It's not technically a bill even, but I thought I'd be consistent. I guess I'll add "Debating" to the title.

Should have become law the first time it went through.

You don't think so? You supported it the first time. There's a difference in Section 1 and there's no Section 3 on this bill (Section 3 on the other was excluding Holidays, fwiw), but other than that they look practically the same to me.

Like everyone else in my region, I voted against the first amendment. Why are you saying I supported it?

Well, I didn't know how you voted in your own regional vote, I didn't look that into it. But when I was looking at the first debate thread, your only post in the thread was voting for it:

Aye
You must have just supported it then for the sake of letting the people have the final say. If that's the case, props to you. I usually support doing that unless it's an amendment I think is just completely wrong.

The original version had a typo that wasn't noticed until it was sent to the regions, which is why most people voted against it.

Ah, didn't notice that.
Well then, that makes sense. Hopefully it can pass this time.

Yes, unless I am missing something horrible in here. I don't really see the point in moving the election a week earlier in 1/7th of December instances, but it is perhaps the most inoffensive change conceivable. The benefit of passing this amendment cannot be understated.

I'm not sure what you mean regarding December. We already have it in the second weekend (and not second-to-last weekend). This is done to avoid having an election during the Holidays when nobody is here.

It's currently the second Thursday, but this would change it to the Thursday before the second Friday. In Decembers where the first day is a Friday (next one will be 2017), this amendment would move the election a week earlier. It is a very minor change, but still a change.

It's supposed to be the second weekend. If anything the current Constitution is the mistake.
