Exploratory Committee for President in February

I've been urged by many people to consider this course of action, so at the moment I am doing this simply to gauge reaction. I have no particular idea if I will run or not at this point.

If I decide to run for President, I would not make a run for the Governorship of the Mideast in February. I would run on an Independent ticket and I will not run if Nym enters the race.

My positions are basically Socially Progressive with a moderate economic outlook. My candidacy would be based mostly around a campaign on forum affairs.

I seek your comments (and your rotten vegetables).

Peter, you should run.  You alone would be able to unite the entire left under a single banner, and not only that, but you would still be a great president.  You are honest, moderate and fair.  You have been a dedicated Attorney General, and you would be active as President.  Given that you won't run if Nym enters the race, I look forward to endorsing you if and when you officially announce your candidacy.

I think you'd be a better Attorney General/Governor right now and in the next few months, but I can see you running in the future. I think you'd do pretty well.

I think you should run regardless of whether Nym runs. I might vote for you, depending on what other candidates are in the race.

To be honest, if you run for the Presidency, It will be much easier for me to run for Governor... so I support your candidacy (although you probably won't be my #1 preference). ;-)

Of course, if you really want the rotten vegetables, you can have some, if you wish.
