Given that blacks and hispanics(not counting groups that are strong republican such as cuban)  are strong democratic supporting groups, I would say the white males polled the republicans to winning the male vote. This is one of the biggest republican supporters out there. I mean, when you look at the biggest names of the party, most are white males with some women/ethnic people rounding up of the party.

I might be misunderstanding your question, but white males made up the majority of both the republican male vote and the democrat male vote.  White males made up 36% of the total voters, black males made up only 5% and hispanic males were 4%.  I think it is safe to assume more white males voted for the democrats that all the black males and hispanic males combined.

If you only did a polling of just white males back in the 2004 election, only few states would vote for the Obama/Biden ticket. I've seen this statical on this forum and if I can find the graph I will post it.

Here you go:

McCain 408-109.  RI, IA and MN were tied.

I was pointing to the 2004 presidential election Kamar. I was aware that McCain won the 2008 white male vote though.

Here is 2004 white males:

Bush 501-37.  Some of the shading might be off.  I got screwed up towards the end, but believe this is accurate.  Kerry only won 5 states plus DC.

Phil, my guess is there would not be much difference.  Most states were not very close, there may only be 1 or 2 states flipped.
