Can we end the Sanchez era, please?   I wanted Schottenheimer gone yesterday.  Joke team.

rumor is the Jets are planning an overhaul of the offensive staff.  I wouldn't cut bait with Sanchez yet barring some obvious alternative.

At this stage I wouldnt be upset if Woody fired Rex.  Sick of seeing so many dumb penalties and the team being generally unprepared.  Sanchez is just not the answer.  Id rather have the 8 million we would save by cutting him.

he's slightly improved each of the three seasons.  talk of booting Rex is frustrated and foolish.  most successful coach on Jet history since the merger.

I didnt say they should fire Rex, just that I wouldnt mind.  He just looks like a buffoon with his big mouth, superbowl pipe dreams and an 8-8 team.   The big bad defense is and always has been a fraud. Past 3 years we blitz and always give up big 3rd down conversions.

Yeah, Sanchez has slightly improved but it is hard not to do going from 12TD-24INT and color coded charts.

At the end of the day this game didnt matter but  Im just pissed that I didnt enjoy one game all year.

Andy Lee had a 60-yard punt to the St. Louis 5 called back because of offsetting penalties. He promptly punted the ball 64 yards to the St. Louis 1. He's pretty good.

I decided I'm not going to watch the Cowboys/Giants game tonight.  I don't want to see the Cowboys get throttled tonight.  I'm watching the Dallas Mavericks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves on NBA League Pass instead.

Yeah, our special teams is amazing. Our defense was surprisingly weak today, though. I suppose you can't ask guys to try too hard against an opponent with ten fewer wins than you when there are bigger games to prepare for ahead.

I thought so, too, as I did peek in on the score on ESPN.com every so often.

Everything worked out as it should yesterday.

I'm taking great pleasure in the NYJ fans' pain and looking forward to a few more months of it.

I think they should keep Rex and Sanchez.  They are just having growing pains, every team goes through it after their second or third year. Hopefully they can fix their O and D for next year and make sure the team has good chemistry like they had the previous two seasons. Sanchez does have a target on him though, he needs to improve drastically next year.

Without Schotty, Sanchez will be fine. See Brees, Favre, or Pennington. Need a better line and unfortunately,  a better RB.

The Rams had more rushing touchdowns against the 49ers yesterday than every other team combined.

Bungles at Texans will be a good game, neither team is going into the playoffs screaming.  I think the AFC North team wins here and will go onto face the no defense having Patriots and will win that one too setting up an all AFC North Championship game because, obviously, the Steelers are going to do what everbody has been wanting for months, kill Tim Tebow.  This will set up Train Wreck III in Baltimore in the Divisional round.  The winner of that game will get a home game and crush the Bungles.  I don't see the Saints or the Niners beating the Pack in GB so it seems to me we are going to have Balt or Pit playing GB for the Super Bowl, GB's defense isn't as bad as the Cheatriots, but it's nowhere near the caliber of the Steelers or the Ratbirds...and as we all know, "Defense wins Championships", so....Steelers are winning again....sorry losers Wink

Their function is to hang around and be constantly useful as a goad. The ultimate aim is not such humane small potatoes as repatriating refugees.

As of the end of Week 17, Green Bay's defense is ranked 32nd so wrong.

Ranking defenses by yards is dumb.  All defenses give up a ton of yards in today's game.  Turnovers separate the good and bad because both QBs in every game these days can throw for 300 yds and 3 scores.

NE and GB both know how to do that.

One-tenth as crazy bad as Harbaugh is rooting for Houston.

Probably almost as bad as AJ Green is hoping to face that secondary.

My new guesses:

AFC
1. New England
2. Houston
3. Pittsburgh
4. Denver
5. Baltimore
6. Cincinnati

NFC
1. Green Bay
2. San Francisco
3. New Orleans
4. New York
5. Detroit
6. Atlanta

AFC/NFC Championships

Baltimore at New England
New Orleans at Green Bay

Super Bowl

New England Vs. Green Bay

Well, I got all of the teams right. Not many people had the Bengals and Giants in these slots, which kind of makes up for the slotting errors. I am standing by my championship predictions, but I can definitely see the Saints winning the Super Bowl. It will probably be them or the Packers hoisting the Lombardi in a few weeks...
