I think there would extremely low turnout, but the south would vote Buchanan because he's not Lincoln.  I'm assuming this is the 1860 election.

Buchanan could not have kept the Democrats from splitting up if he had run, and would have been in serious danger of not getting a single EV.
A scenario of Lincoln vs Buchanan with no other candidates is simply not a scenario with any sense of realism in it...except maybe (but it's highly unrealistic) with a fusion Republican-Northern Democrat ticket, (Lincoln/Douglas or something) vs Southern Democrats running Buchanan as a front. In that case, Lincoln would get over 50% of the vote and possibly carry a handful of slave states - Delaware, Missouri, possibly Kentucky.

There would not be extremely low turnout btw - both candidates would be seen as a terrible threat to America by half the White population, ensuring a high turnout.
