This is a scenario that I've actually wondered about a lot. Bush would probably choose Jack Kemp, just as Dole did. He would also lose again, and probably by more than in 1992.

Would he choose a member of his own cabinet for Vice-President? The last office Kemp served in was as HUD Secretary under Bush. Not that I don't like Kemp, he's one of my favorite politicians, but would he have done that?

Why wouldn't he have? Kemp would be a good pick, cabinet member or not. He could help pick up conservative voters who were disillusioned with the first Bush presidency.
