The former head of the Montana Freeman movement, an anti-government militia which was involved in an infamous standoff with the Federal Government in 1996. LeRoy Schweitzer was found dead in his prison cell at the Federal super-max in Florence CO earlier today.
LeRoy Schweitzer is also known to be a relative of incumbent Montana Democratic Governor Brian Schweitzer who is considered a rising star in the party and a possible Presidential candidate someday.
