Due to the expulsion of a Senator, At-Large, I wish to give notice that there will be a by-election (AKA a special election) to the vacant seat, with the date tentatively set for September 29th.

Note that in the event Junkie is unavailable to get back to me prior to balloting, I will use an option that is unique to myself.

You guys know that I do not vote in elections I administer because I don't want to give the impression of bias. If I've missed Junkie's ballot due to my not being around often enough, then I will stop and think if Junkie has made it absolutely clear who he intends to support (and I think he has, himself) then I will use my ballot to cast it on his behalf.

Teddy, do you have a link to a wiki page or something that details how the Absentee voting process is setup?

Thanks in advance. Smiley

The details on it are not even crystal clear to myself. I guess I should dig in and research it. Perhaps I could propose an amendment to the Senate to make it more clear.

I believe the procedure was that people had to request an absentee ballot or permission to cast the same, in a specialized Voting Booth thread, such as you see above.

I seem to remember there being a permission seeking requirement before one could vote in the Absentee both. And this is line with what Franzl did in the booth back in February.

I was able to sneak away from packing to check in for a bit.  I leave tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. central.  Will probably not be able to check in, but I will try.  Thank you Teddy for your assistance.

If you like I can open a thread ASAP, or, you can avail yourself of the ability to cast a secret ballot and PM me; but these would be write-in.

I will gather up all the candidates names in a bit. I'll do so before 7am central for sure.
