I was going to say massive Alan Grayson-level FF until I read the above link. But he's still a FF and it seems he has repented somewhat of that. I enjoy his column.

He has a big mouth and a tendency to say especially stupid things at times, but even though it's easy to bash him on a surface level if you actually serious listen to the things he says and does, he's a pretty good guy with good causes.

And also, society needs way more sex columnists. I think it's great that famous sex/relationship advice people still exist like that. But that's just me.

I think he has some important things to say, and his involvement in the 'It Gets Better' campaign is a MAJOR FF boost for me.

But he does have a really abrasive manner that often undermines the good that he actually does.

If he stopped trying to 'go after' people and fight the good fight... he would increase in my estimations.

Bullsh**t.  I think the "Santorum" thing was dumb because it doesn't energize the LGBT base in any useful way and it just probably looks really trashy to swing voters.  I think it's counterproductive.  I think he does it because he thinks his subcultural "movement" or whatever has more clout than it does.  Plus, if you read Slog (the Seattle weekly's blog he posts on) he's just really self-centered.  I don't like the dude and I don't think he's a good advocate for the LGBT community.  IGBP is a good step but doesn't redeem his more obnoxious qualities.
