It's looking more and more likely it'll be something like Romney with 42% and the rest of the assorted nutjobs splitting the remainder a million ways, which thanks to the GOP's silly hodgepodge of systems and winner take all states will result in a Romney landslide in delegates. I was hoping for a dogfight ala the Democratic primary in 2008 or at least an interesting wave of unpredictability like the GOP had a bit. I don't think Iowa or New Hampshire will be all that interesting, though granted Romney really blew them last time. Maybe we'll get something like Romney obvious winning but Cain doing so well he won't drop out and Romney not really able to claim victory.

Oh don't worry, the purists aren't going to let Romney walk away with the nomination like they did with Bush in 2000. One or Two of the clowns will win some primaries, and keep the race somewhat close until right before the convention. It looks likely that it will be Cain and Gingrich (Perry's done, and Bachmann won't go anywhere unless she pulls off a win in Iowa).

Bernie would probably win Vermont if Obama were deemed to have more than 272 evs in the vag.

Yes. It seems more and more likely it'll be like the Democratic primaries in 2004.
