Moammar Qaddafi surely wishes America had followed her advice. But what can you expect from someone who so botched Paul Revere's ride that she describer his deed as that of a traitor?

This remark is ironic.

Had to be done.  I don't really pay that much attention to either one.  It's easy to get the stupid statements from these characters mixed up.  It's a very poor reflection on society that either one would seriously be considered presidential material.

Not surprising.  This is perfectly consistent with Bachmann's previous comments (and votes) on these issues.  There is certainly a split on the Right with regard to the West's posture towards the Muslim world.  Bachmann is not in the "neocon" pro-democracy school.  She's part of the faction that has a more dim view of the Muslim world, which tends to lead towards support for the strongman.

It's hard to avoid confusing the inanities of the Lunatic Fringe. Are Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin that different?

Yeah, she's more of a follower of Glenn Beck than George W. Bush.
