Most knowledgeable poster on economics?
«
on:

Thoughts? Of those I've seen post most on the subject, Beet (minus his tendency toward paranoia) and phkrocket1k seem most knowledgeable to me. I vaguely remember ag being pretty up on things too.

I would say my pessimism has been entirely justified & borne out by events. ag would be an interesting poster but he rarely posts here, ironically.

I respect the insight of ag, Beet and phnrocket on economics. jmfcst is actually quite knowledgeable as well, though less on theory.

I suppose I might have some advantage in this contest, simply because all the other options are so right-wing.

ag is the rather obvious choice - he's a professor in economics.
Beyond that, I think me, Beet and Phnkrocket have about as much education on the subject?
People like Carl and Jmf also has some knowledge. Opebo, of course, is completely clueless. In fact, not realizing this is an indication of someone not knowing much about economics.

Ag is the obvious answer (but phk, gustaf and beet are close). Opebo is the joke option. No, Opebo, you haven't a clue about economics. You're still a cool dude though.
And who the hell voted for JJ? Sorry Opebo, he is the ultimate joke option.

I've spent sufficient time explaining economics to people not getting it to not assume that people are voting for him merely as a joke. I've learned a long time ago that there is no position on economics that is so stupid that it can't possibly be serious.
I'll grant you that I don't think Opebo himself thinks he is knowledgeable. I'm less convinced about other people though.
