...Who would the Vice-President be? In different states, Wallace was paired with different people. There was the party's original nominee, who was former Georgia Governor S Martin Griffin. As you all probably know, the other states had Wallace paired with former Air Force Admiral Curtis LeMay of California. How would the Vice-President have been determined? The Senate taking the two leading candidates for the Presidency? Wallace choosing one of the two? The party choosing one of the two?

It's more a constitutional issue than mere "what if" scenario.
