Not really. After he placed fourth at Ames, I thought he might be able to pick up some steam. I was wrong. He'll just be another footnote in history.

He's running for VP consideration, and a talk show, and maybe a future as governor or a return to the senate someday.

That's a lot to ask for someone like Santorum.

Someone here is upset that Santorum would not only lose Pennsylvania but also Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, Florida, New Hampshire, Iowa and possibly North Carolina.

That person isn't me

If not for Dan Savage he'd have a much betterworse chance.

In American politics, an attack perceives as a "low-blow" like Savage's would probably help Santorum if he were actually relevent to begin with becuase it makes him look like the victim instead of the tyrant. Everyone loves a victim and no one loves a tyrant. Santorum's problem is that he lacks a good niche in the base. He's fired up about all the wrong issues for political convenience and has a view on foreign policy that went out of style five years ago. He also has a penchant for making himself sound more extreme than he really is when a good politician always appears more moderate than he really is.

Savage is one of the reasons why he is concidered a joke candidate.
