Mitt Romney is the favorite to receive Sen. Jim DeMint's (R-S.C.) much-sought-after endorsement in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, according to knowledgeable GOP sources.

Yep. This is over.

He endorsed him in 2008. I don't think this would be too shocking.

But DeMint endorsed Romney last time, and that didn't seem to make much of a difference. If its one thing the Tea Party seems to hate (besides Obama), it is being told what to think. I don't expect they will appreciate Romney being shoved down their throats.

A Senator from South Carolina endorsing a Negro? Surely you jest.

I was actually wondering why he might be endorsing Romney instead of Cain, but then I remembered...

is this real or did you just make that up?  and if real, would that be good numbers for Cain?

In PPP's national poll last week, Cain was at 30% among all GOP voters, and 39% among the subset of GOP voters self-identifying as "Tea Party", so 52% and 46% is incredibly good.

Not surprising, it probably was someone from the Romney camp who made this up.

what they don't understand is that the more the establishment endorses Romney, the more coal shoveled into the engine of the Cain Train.

Jim DeMint today is very different from Jim DeMint in 2007.

I second that. DeMint has become more Pro-Tea Party, and has written a book about his war with the establishment after his realignment with the TEA Party.
I can't see De Mint endorsing Romney NOW. Maybe if Cain loses his momentum.

Chances are he's going to follow Rand and endorse Ronald Reagan 2.0 aka Ron Paul.

So we can expect the federal debt to triple under a President Ron Paul?

Brotha Cain expects to have the nomination wrapped up within a matter of days.

Will you serve my Brotha as you served Ron Paul?

Your new Nominee asks for your loyalty, Johanus.  Take his hand.  He will only offer it once.

If the Rev. Cain is the GOP nominee, he will have my hand of service. If Romney wins, Mitt will NOT be shown such kindness.

You know, I think you may actually be a sockpuppet of a left-winger. Or, to put it another way, I hope you're a sockpuppet of a left-winger.
