The only people who are whining here are the ones that like fictitious ponies.

Why are people so damned concerned as to what other people watch on TV? I mean, sure it's childish to like this show, but so what? I'll always be a child, no matter how old I am. I like it that way. Children know freedom. They don't have worries. So what if an adult wants to get in touch with their inner child. Don't we all?

PS, I thought BRTD loved South Park? Or did Jesus give him a moral reacharound?

I think it's safe to say we all agree this show is far better than the utter filth that is South Park.

LOL I'm watching an episode now and I just noticed how a baby pony is in a baby carriage and wearing a diaper. LOL.

You are 28 years old.  That is all.

There are people over 30 who like the show.

That's kind of sad.

It truly is a good show.  I actually found out and got interested in it due to the first thread here. Being something of a cynic, I never expected to like it, but I suppose it stirs some joy in my soul.

That said, it is an acquired taste. But they are cute ponies. And I'm pleasantly surprised by the lack of easily assessable pony porn. I'm sure it's out there, but nice to know it's not infested the core fanbase.

I wonder how much of the show's success lays in escapism. Allowing people to get away from endless wars, economic troubles, and an uncertain future. It's refreshing to go to a world where there's no real sense of trouble. Naive and childish, but we all require our outlets. Smiley It's funny, because this and Vampire: the Masquerade are mine, and the two could not be more different.

What...what? That's like saying you thought I support Ralph Nader.

Why is it that we are forced to basically have a ghetto for any discussion of the show and now are also mocked within our specific thread for it without consequence? Shouldn't this be more of a sanctuary? Kal have you even seen the show for that matter?

As much as I hate to admit it, I think BRTD has a point here.

Ponythread is supposed to be a pony sanctuary.  Ponyposts go in ponythread, ponybashing goes outside of ponythread.

I was thinking about what barking mental patient's cutie mark could mean, and it's a reference to her having a screw loose, correct?

Indeed.  Why the feck do we have to have a war about this on every single board?

Just did the Pony Personality Test. Got Fluttershy.

Chronically weak and timid, but with a heart of solid gold, you tend to require and depend on the help of your friends in most situations. You enjoy their company, but also enjoy solitude and time away from your friends where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. Just because you know you're weak doesn't mean it holds you back, because you know you're strong where it counts, with your overabundance of kindness, caring, and compassion.

You're often worried about saying or doing the wrong things and also fear rejection. Speaking of fear, you've got a lot of it, often times letting your fear hold you back from doing even the most simple of things, such as jumping across a cliff. But in that fear, you can often find just enough bravery to stand up for doing the right thing if your friends need you.

You may be naive and innocent, and you're very shy and quiet, but you're also a very good listener and are likely the one your friends blab on about their problems to — and while you may feel powerless to help at times, just listening and cheering them on means the world to them. Yay!

I got Pinkie, but it was close between her, Rarity, and Twilight.

Fluttershy > Rarity > Twilight Sparkle > Pinkie Pie > Applejack > Rainbow Dash was the order for me.

I need to watch some more of Season 2.

Why do the Cutie Mark Crusaders sleep in a bed laying on their backs? LOL. It should've at least been a bed of hay or something.

OK what type of band would the mane characters' names be best for as a band name?

Twilight Sparkle: Something electronic
Rainbow Dash: Pop punk
Rarity: Black metal
Fluttershy: Grindcore
Applejack: Some type of indie rock
Pinkie Pie: Noisecore

S2E17 was leaked on Youtube 2 days before it was supposed to air (tomorrow).

I watched it, but I won't spoil it for you.

I had been meaning to watch an episode or two for a while, just to see what all the fuss is about, but decided to delay it until semester break.
Which was a wise decision, because I then watched one more... and then another one...
Until yesterday, when I finished watching all 43 episodes.

Great new episode--4 new songs! And a surprisingly deep new character.

The lack of Gummy still disturbs me, however. Tongue

I loved this new episode.  The alt animation sequence was great ("sing random song out of nowhere, check").
