Nevada doesn't believe in letting Easterners decide when their political events are held.

...

But seriously, it looks like 8:00 Eastern.

Wow, there's another one tonight?  Good thing I checked in here.

AAAAAAh.  It's coming on at 7:00 CDT.  It's family literacy night tonight at my son's school, and that runs from 6:30 till 7:30.  Well, usually they replay these debates later, so I'll have to catch it then.

Yes, according to tvguide.com, it comes on again from 10 till 12 CDT.  Also, the photo on cnn.com shows only seven podia (podiums?).  I wonder who's getting left behind?

Huntsman is boycotting the debate because NV is going so close to NH.

I'm too lazy to make a joke about it, sadly.

The ratio of debates held to information extracted seems low.  Charlie Rose and his partner (her name?) were my favorite moderators so far.  I assume that was one of the less watched debates though.  To repeat myself from another post, I think we'll see a weird dynamic tonight.

Just about everyone will go after Cain, who will probably ignore them and go after Romney, who will probably ignore him and go after Obama (who is elsewhere going after the GOP congress).  While Jon Huntsman boycotts the debate and the debate boycotts Gary Johnson.  If anyone can explain how Huntsman skipping this debate isn't the biggest strategic blunder of the campaign after Pawlenty dropping out, I'm open-minded.

Paul will either get very little time and will be cut off when he tries to explain his "Restore America Plan", or he will be called an extremist and attacked for it repeatedly.

Cain's performance will depend on whether he is expected to veer into a subject that cannot be responded to with a witticism or "NINE NINE NINE" or if it requires actual facts (since when it comes to facts, Cain flips a coin and either responds with a vague statement or an outright lie). Foreign policy could be a problem; he fell apart last time because he said retarded things regarding Afghanistan, followed by bigoted statements against Muslims, followed by an ad about 9/11 in very bad taste.

Perry will look like a small moron rather than a large moron when he doesn't receive atttention.

Romney will probably do fine unless someone attacks him in a strong way. Perry's garbage attempts at going after Romney were practically vaccinations against the other candidates using them. He has plenty of weaknesses, however. Were Frothy better at attacking from non-social directions, he could probably give Romney a flesh wound. Likewise, were Gingrich and Paul more aggressive they could equally cause him big problems. Fortunately, with Romney's "attackers", who needs friends?

Frothy will froth and go into attack-dog mode against a candidate, probably Cain but maybe Romney or Paul (depending on where the conversation goes). If nothing else, it will be fun to watch him get angry.

Gingrich and Bachmann will say things and probably won't make much of an impact.

I cannot watch it either, have to get up early tomorrow.

Probably will record it, since it is on CNN - the only American program I get on my cable.

Maybe, but his campaign has made bigger strategic blunders. We'll see how this NV thing plays out in NH, Huntsman "could" be given credit for sticking up for the state.

Well, for starters, when you Google "Nevada debate" the first few results are about Huntsman.

okay, so actually they do.
